Kelasi project

Let's build schools together, modular and modern constructions of schools.

A school at a lower cost, secure and suitable for children.

We are thrilled to present our Kelasi project, an ambitious initiative aimed at building a modular school and a modern school in Francophone Africa, with an unwavering commitment to quality education and the future of children. With your support, we can turn this vision into a reality for young learners in the region.

Barn I Skolan believes that all children deserve a quality education, whether in developing countries or in times of crisis and conflict.

Modular School

Our goal is to establish modular schools to address the educational needs in rural and remote areas. These schools will be designed to be flexible and sustainable, allowing for rapid and cost-effective setup. By providing well-equipped and locally adapted classrooms, we offer a stimulating and safe learning environment for children.

Modern School

We also aim to establish a modern school that will serve as a center of excellence in education. This school will offer state-of-the-art facilities, qualified faculty, and innovative educational programs to enable students to reach their full potential and prepare for the challenges of an ever-changing world.

We need your help to bring these ambitious projects to life. Every donation, no matter how small, contributes to building a promising future for children in underprivileged communities in Francophone Africa. Your financial support will help fund the construction of the schools, the purchase of educational materials, teacher training, and the implementation of enriching learning programs.

As a partner of Barn I Skolan, you will play a crucial role in improving access to quality education for hundreds of children who would otherwise be deprived of this essential opportunity. Your contribution will help break the cycle of poverty and build stronger and more prosperous communities through education.

Join us in this vital mission and help transform the lives of children in Francophone Africa. Together, we can create a lasting and positive impact in the lives of these young learners, providing them with a promising future filled with opportunities.

84 million children will still be out of school by 2030, says UNESCO. Let's build schools together. Modular constructions of schools.  A school at a lower cost, secure and suitable for children.

According to research prepared by UNICEF, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has made significant progress towards universal access to primary education in recent decades. The net attendance rate increased from 52% in 2001 to 78% in 2018 but 7.6 million children aged 5 to 17 are still out of school. The preschool rate for children aged 3 to 5 is only 5%.

This level is considered very low given the benefits that pre-schooling can bring to young children to improve entry into primary school and cognitive and social development from an early age. Moreover, repetition and dropout rates at the primary level undoubtedly have repercussions on the secondary level.

The direct (registration fees) and indirect (school materials, uniforms, etc.) costs borne by poor households seem to be one of the obstacles to children's schooling despite the policy of free primary education promulgated in 2010 by the Government of the DRC.

Thank you for your generosity and commitment to education!
